“Grand stage, professional atmosphere, interesting players, captivating Team golf.”

The professional golf world is the exclusive domain of players with finely honed skills, and publicly guarded personalities. An individual sport, whose participant’s weekly monetary rewards dwarf the yearly income of most admirers and television viewers. Excitement builds as a famous player lines up a putt, that if holed, will result in victory and a substantial payday. Viewers on the edge of their seats will inevitably shout out in frustration if the putt is missed. “I could have made it”. They then begin to contemplate the wonder of receiving a six figure payment, and how it would impact their life.

The United States Golf Association (USGA) says that the average golfer carries about a 15.0 handicap. This translates into an average score of about 90. A professional golfer was probably documenting a 90 on his or her scorecard around the age of 13. However, shooting a 90 for many golfers is a monumental achievement, but watching an ordinary player shoot a 90 on television would elicit yawns and miniscule ratings. So golfers with ordinary skills play rounds on weekend mornings, and then live vicariously through their favorite professional players in the afternoon on TV.

Team sports hold a special place in American culture. Those who have played in a team environment cherish the camaraderie established with teammates and the long term relationships that are created. The team aspect of golf is mostly associated with best ball Scramble Events generally played to benefit a charitable cause. Many of the foursomes in team events are composed of players who play the game together on a regular basis. The on-course interactions between these groups can be mischievously playful, brutally honest, and wonderfully entertaining.

It’s time to provide a breath of fresh air into televised golf. The truly unique Team4Golf game format is designed to create a highly competitive Team oriented challenge for golfers with non-professional level skills. Team4Golf events will feature 4-person Teams playing at championship level golf courses. A celebrity Show Host will escort Teams during the round and interact with the players. Team success will translate into monetary rewards for Participating Charitable organizations, and Team members. This show will stand out because it’s genuinely real and totally transparent. Nothing scripted. Professional golfers will tune in to watch a 17 handicap player lining up a life changing putt then utter, “I couldn’t have done it better”.
